Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common questions about how Mokam Kartu handles shared-subscription payments.
Does Mokam Kartu store my card data?
- No. We never see a card number, CVV, or bank login. Mokam Kartu is not a payment institution and has no access to your bank account. The payment methods the host saves (Revolut handle, IBAN, phone number) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to the database.
Is the service free?
- Yes, Mokam Kartu is free to use today.
How do members pay their share?
- On each member's monthly date, the system emails them with the amount owed and the payment methods the host set up: a Revolut link, a bank transfer with a unique reference, or a phone-number transfer via Revolut, Wise, or any bank's app. The member sends the money themselves and taps "I've paid".
How many members can a plan have?
- A plan holds up to six people including the host, who also pays a share.
Do all members have to be billed on the same day?
- No. Each member can have their own monthly date from 1 to 28 — useful when people are paid on different schedules.
Which subscriptions does it work for?
- Any recurring subscription that one person pays for and wants to split. Examples: Netflix Premium, Spotify Family, YouTube Premium, Apple One, creative-tool bundles. Amounts are entered in EUR.
What happens if a member pays late?
- The system sends a gentle reminder automatically. No funds are pulled — Mokam Kartu only notifies both the host and the member that the payment is overdue. The host can mark the payment as received whenever the funds arrive.
